Another Cold, Windy Day

Well, not much going on here, other than a cup of coffee/tea and a good book type of day. Ice, Cold Wind, have not made a great invitation to step outside for too long.

Have Van Morrison, double disk live in San Francisco playing in the background.

Reading a great old book, "The Eagle of the Ninth", a childrens novel by definition, but well written and so far quite entertaining. Basic premise is the son of the Commander of the Ninth Roman Legion stationed in Britain, goes to restore honor and retrieve the golden eagle standard that went missing with more than a thousand men.

Finished a great book "We" by
Yegevny Zamyatin, The most hopeful Russian story I have read.... Though as a disclaimer that puts it at the same level as Shakespseare tragedie.

Off to my usual Eintracht Trier game, hopefully they win, it has been nice to see some goal scoring, but injuries in the defensive three has led to some gut wrenching ties.... (20 seconds left and the opposite team scores a miraculous goal twice in a month......) Ein Bratwurst und eine Apfelschorle have become sort of usual habit of mine now that this is my third year watching them. Good play at the Division 2 level (between Triple AAA and Major League Baseball) It is hard to see the team get to the division 1 level anytime soon, but who knows anything is possible (top three teams move up a level).

Will have some more pics on our page soon, don't use the email button (I disabled the account due to thousands of SPAM messages), I thought I took them all off, but found a couple of them of late.

Take Care.....
Robert
